How to Read the 8@BT Balance Unit Chart

Every unit number takes the form #level-stack. In #17-08, the 17 is the storey and the 08 is the stack, so it is the unit on the 17th storey of stack 08.

The eight stacks split evenly between the two blocks. Block 6, at 6 Bukit Timah Link, holds stacks 01, 02, 03 and 04. Block 8, at 8 Bukit Timah Link, holds stacks 05, 06, 07 and 08. Both blocks run from the 1st storey to the 20th, and no facility level interrupts the residential floors, because the landscape deck sits at Basement 1 and the 1st storey rather than partway up.

Several things on the chart look like printing faults and are not.

Stacks 03 and 04 have no unit on the 1st storey. Those two columns begin at level 2, so the blank at the bottom is an absence rather than a sold unit.

Four stacks change unit type partway up. Stack 02 runs as the 3-Bedroom C4 from levels 2 to 8, becomes the 4-Bedroom D1 from levels 9 to 19, and is capped by the PH1 Penthouse at level 20. Stack 03 runs as the 4-Bedroom D2 from levels 2 to 19 with the PH2 Penthouse above it. Stack 04 carries the C2 from levels 2 to 8 and the larger C3 from levels 9 to 20. In Block 8, stack 06 changes from the 1-Bedroom A2 at levels 2 to 12 to the 2-Bedroom B1 from level 13 up.

The 1st storey units carry a (p) suffix. Six of them exist, one in each stack that reaches the ground floor, and each is a Private Enclosed Space variant of the layout above it rather than a separate type.

The arithmetic closes. Six stacks run the full 20 levels and two run 19, because stacks 03 and 04 start at level 2. Block 6 therefore holds 20 plus 20 plus 19 plus 19, which is 78 units, and Block 8 holds four stacks of 20, which is 80. Together that is 158.
